About the speaker

Dr. Ang Yee Gary is a distinguished public health physician, family physician, and health services researcher with over a decade of experience at the National Healthcare Group (NHG) in Singapore.
He specializes in diabetes and its complications, particularly diabetic kidney disease and diabetes-related lower extremity amputations, contributing significantly to advancing clinical care and research in these areas. Dr. Ang holds an MBBS, MPH, and MBA, along with several postgraduate diplomas in family medicine, mental health, dermatology, accounting, and finance. A Dean’s List honoree of Nanyang Business School, he also coordinates the Master of Health Economics, Management & Policy program at Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education, where he teaches health plan design and payment systems. As a Biodesign Innovator, Dr. Ang focuses on identifying unmet clinical needs and developing solutions to improve healthcare delivery and financing systems. His passion for bridging research with practical implementation drives his mission to maximize human potential by extending healthy, fulfilling lives. In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Ang is a certified contract bridge teacher and Life Master with the American Contract Bridge League, showcasing his diverse talents and interests.
